Changes to our auction calendar, Private Sales opportunities and more
UPDATED AS OF 6 APRIL 2020
As previously announced on 19 March, Christie’s has undertaken a global review of its spring and summer auction calendar in light of precautionary closures and travel restrictions. We remain committed to addressing the ongoing situation, including the reduction of non-essential business activities. Our thoughts are with all those directly affected by the virus.
Our teams are working to reschedule postponed auctions to later dates, while confirming a revised calendar of online-only sales. We will continue to provide regular updates regarding key marquee weeks across regions, as well as announce new sale announcements and initiatives for Christie’s three sale platforms (Auction, Online-Only, and Private Sales).
Please note: dates for all auctions remain provisionary by necessity, and Christie’s will continue to adapt its activities and operations and take all precautions advised by the World Health Organization (WHO). Our foremost priority is to act in the best interest of our colleagues, clients and our communities.
Our colleagues remain at your disposal by email, telephone and other virtual means to offer assistance and answer questions.
In this time, we know that the art and objects entrusted to Christie’s can be a source of enrichment and enjoyment. Please visit our website where you’ll find a rich diversity of free videos, interviews, educational materials and images.
As announced on 6 April, Christie’s has completed a review of its Hong Kong Spring Auctions calendar and has decided to postpone the auction week from late May/early June to the week of 5 July, 2020. We look forward to reconvening in July and thank our clients for their continued patience and support as the health and well-being of our communities remains our highest priority.
